How to Set Up a Weekly Review in Notion (and Actually Stick to It)

You know the feeling: Sunday night hits and you’re scrambling to figure out what happened all week, let alone what’s coming. A weekly review fixes that, but only if it’s simple enough to maintain. Here’s how I do mine in Notion.

First, I have three sections: Wins, Lessons, and Focus. Wins are the wins, big or small — a client signed, a task finally done. Lessons are what didn’t go well and what I’d change. Focus is the one thing I want to achieve next week. That’s it. No long journaling, just quick bullet points.

I use a database with a template button, so every Sunday I click ‘New Week’ and the structure appears. I also set a reminder on my phone. Took me 10 minutes to set up, and now it’s a habit.

If you want to skip the setup, I have a ready-made weekly review template in the shop. But even if you build your own, just keep it dead simple. The goal is clarity, not another chore.
